first-dance

That romantic first dance

The serious part of your wedding day has passed, and now you’re Mr & Mrs. The rings have been exchanged, those important photographs have been taken, so now it’s time to have a little fun with your first dance together. This wedding tradition stemmed from grand balls and dances, where the guests of honour would open the dance for everyone. Your first dance as newlyweds serves the same purpose, and of course it will be one of your first shared moments as a married couple.

Step into the limelight with style

As you step on to the dance floor for your 1st dance as husband and wife, all eyes will be on you, so you’ll want it to look good and feel really special.

Practice makes perfect

In the weeks coming up to their wedding celebration, most couples take a few dance lessons in order to be prepared for the 1st dance. If you’d like some professional help, please contact us. You can also practice at home, but wear shoes similar to the ones you’ll wear on your special day. It’s a good idea to have a film of your lessons or practice sessions – you’ll be able to see how great you look together and you’ll feel more confident on the day.

Choose your music

You’re sure to have songs that are special to you as a couple. Be careful though, not all romantic songs are about everlasting love, so listen to the lyrics. Don’t select a song that’s too long, otherwise your guests will lose interest, and give the DJ a CD with your music as some versions differ. If you really want longer music, invite guests to join you on the dance floor, or have the bridesmaids and groomsmen join you for a flashmob that will surprise your family and guests.

No matter what type of dance you decide on, or which song you choose, the main thing to remember is that your first dance as a married couple at your romantic luxury wedding should be fun!
